What is a passive house gas fireplace?

- This type of gas fireplace is designed with no direct Air Draw / Pull from the room to which the fire is fitted. In simple terms, a manufactured pipe, supplied with the gas fire is  "a pipe within a pipe"

The outer section of the pipe is the air intake pipe - that draws air in to the fire chamber for the flame to burn and generate its heat.

As Passive Home Gas Fires / Passive House gas fires are extremely efficient so there is very little heat loss from this type of gas appliance.....as low as 6%

The "inner pipe within a pipe" is the exhaust pipe for the fire to which the products of combustion go our.

BER home ratings in Ireland are higher with a Passive house Gas Fireplace.
